- The massive ‘April job-order fall-off’ was least severe in the USA/Canada who, with a 38% decline on March figures, got off ‘lightly’ compared to the rest. Mind you, that fall was on top of a 12 % drop in March, and a 17% drop in February!

- In New Zealand, recruiters take an average of 30 days to fill a permanent role, if the candidate comes from their database. If the candidate is sourced externally, it rises to 49 days.
- In Australia, it takes agencies 5 days to fill a Temp/Contract job if the candidate is sourced from the database, a number that rises to 22 days if sourced externally. In the USA, those numbers are 12 (Database) and 31 (External source).
- In September, 69 % of jobs filled by Australian recruitment agencies were Temp/ Contract. In NZ, that number was 75%. In the UK, 68%, and US/Canada 65%.
- In September, permanent placements numbers made by UK recruitment agencies was 40% higher than in August.
- In September, Temp/Contract placements made by US/Canada recruitment agencies was 36 % higher than in August.
- ‘Time to Fill’ temp and contract roles has increased month on month in August and September in all countries surveyed. (Why are we getting slower at filling these roles?)
