Who fills Agency jobs fastest? Australia, NZ, UK or USA?
This is powerful data at numerous levels from Jobadder.
Firstly, how long have we been preaching that Agency recruiters need to realise the value of their database, extracting the gold buried with the many candidates locked within?
I have said many times that for most Agencies, their database is like a candidate graveyard.
It is dysfunctional in so many ways. Financially, and in terms of candidate experience being the most compelling.
Temporary and Contract jobs:
So how refreshing to see that temp jobs filled via candidates sourced from the JobAdder database in Australia and New Zealand are done so about four times faster than if those candidates are sourced externally.
In the UK and USA, it’s close to three times faster.
We can hardly measure the money and stress saved in this outcome.
It has remained steady at about 5.5 days in Australia to fill a temp job from the JobAdder database over the five quarters of the Report. However, it is climbing Quarter on Quarter if candidates have to be found outside the system. Up to 26.9 days in Quarter 4, 2020.
The message in all locales is this. Manage your database. Engage with the candidates therein. Use all the tools to find and search for them. Failure to do that means you take much longer to fill jobs and without doubt, you will lose plenty of jobs to competitors who are more switched on, and use their candidate pools more effectively.
Permanent Jobs:
Once again it is empirically true that it is quicker to fill a permanent job from your JobAdder database than to go outside of that pool. And logical, therefore, more likely that you will not fill your jobs at all. In Agency recruiting, an open job order is a perishable commodity, and every minute it stays unfilled by you, it becomes more likely you will not fill it. A truism many in the Agency world seem not to have fully grasped yet.
For Australia, New Zealand and the US/Canada, it is roughly 30% to 50% quicker to fill a perm role from your JobAdder database.
In the UK, the difference is not as striking but is still very meaningful. ( 15% to 25%)
If ever an action point for owners and managers of agencies were to come out of this Report, this data provides it.
Your current candidates are your competitive advantage, (In your Jobadder database or any good ATS system) as long as you can find them and know their job-ready status.
